Ruoto tilted her head just a tad and blinked. She turned up her muzzle as Maxuss closed the wooden gate behind him and picked up a blue bucket along with a mess of black straps. Ruoto glanced the pile of thingamajigs he still left behind and let out a silent growl. Still, she let Maxuss approach her. The enhanced wyfex put the bucket down onto the grass and started to examine the seemingly messy black strap thing in his hands. Ruoto stretched her neck to see what was inside the bucket. It turned out to be a blue bucket full of treasure; meat. The light kukuri was just about to dive beak first into the tasty beef until Maxuss placed his hand onto her forehead, stopping Ruoto on her tracks.
"You'll get some once you have your bridle on ", he said calmy. Ruoto stuck her tongue out in disgust and lifted her head. Maxuss lifted the untangled bridle up, so the assumed furry descendant of a dinosaur could examine it. Ruoto sniffed the strange thing for a moment and lowered her head. Closing her eyes she gave a permission to put them on. Carefully, Maxuss touched the kukuri's upper lip from the right side. Ruoto opened her eyes a bit surprised.
"It's okay, just a bit", the wyfex said to calm her down. A bit hesitantly she opened her mouth just wide enough to let Maxuss slide the bit onto her tongue and pass her teeth. Continuing to unfasten buckles, slipping straps to their places and fastening the same buckles again, it took Maxuss a bit of work to get the bridle sit well on Ruoto's head. It was his first time bridling a kukuri after all. Once he was done with the bridle, he threw the reins over the kukuri's neck onto her back. Finally reaching to the blue bucket of deliciousness, Maxuss took a piece of meat into his palm and threw it over Ruoto, ready to duck. The light creature turned around and swooped just above Maxuss' ear tips with her tail as the wyfex ducked to avoid it. Ruoto trotted to the meat, starting to rip and chew it. Maxuss eyed her a bit and scratched his head. At this point he remembered that saddle was the first thing usually to put on a kukuri; not bridle. He shrugged, like he was going to take it off now anyway.
Maxuss fetched the saddle he left beside the gate and walked to his kukuri. Being what he was, Maxuss was used to do things efficiently and bluntly, acting first and asking then most of the time. Without thinking any more, he almost slammed the saddle on Ruoto's back. The kukuri let out a short, annoyed growl as she lifted her head quickly. She glanced at Maxuss as he started to fasten more black straps. Seemingly the kukuri didn't care that much about it, since she continued to munch her treat. Maxuss scurried around her for a while, fetching more meat for her twice as well, until he had all the straps and whatnots fastened and the saddle comfortably sitting on the kukuri's back. The enhanced wyfex took a few steps back to admire his work.

Maxuss sighed and started to walk towards Ruoto. She was still munching the beef given to her. Given his core nature and programming, Maxuss didn't even think of getting the animal's approval to mount it. He didn't pat its neck or pet its head. He straight jumped to the saddle and was about to collect the reins to his hands when Ruoto suddenly lifted her head. That did it, it was the final push. The light kukuri left her treat and dashed forward. Maxuss held on and grabbed anything he could; the saddle, Ruoto's neck fur, anything. As Ruoto sprinted forward, she charged through the wooden fence of the pen with explosive force. Finally Maxuss managed to lean forward enough to grab the kukuri's reins. He pulled them to stop her but it made her just run faster. Trying to use his calves to control his mount, Maxuss felt something strange on his right foot. He looked down to the stirrup to see what was up just to find out the worst thing to happen at that moment; the nanobots of his foot had freaked out completely under the shock, stringing every way possible and tangling the whole foot around the stirrup. Maxuss tried shaking his foot and shouted out a couple of f-words. It was no use. The nanobots were firmly around the metal and they would not loosen. This wasn't the first time this had happened. Some years ago Maxuss needed help from a doctor every once in a while when his feet or hands got a seizure, but nowadays he was able to untangle the freaked out body parts on his own. It could take from hours to days, however. He had learned to control his hands and feet better, but it didn't completely eliminate the chance of them freaking out. Seizures like this were triggered by stress, fear and panic in most cases, this time not being an exception. Maxuss could not just jump off and wait until Ruoto would calm down. He had to stop her, no matter the cost. The enhanced wyfex hesitated, but there was no other option. As the buildings of the city flashed on the sides of his field of view, changing into rocks and cliffs, he made his choice. Maxuss pulled the reins. He pulled them as hard as he could and pinned his ears to his neck. The light kukuri screeched in pain as the metal bit tore through her mouth's corners, sprinkling blood onto her neck fur. She stopped and stretched herself up, back and downwards to stop the painful pull.
Maxuss lifted his nonexistent eyes from Ruoto's neck. There was nothing in front of them but a drop. The wyfex lifted himself towards the kukuri's face as much as the stirrups let him and pulled the reins to the right, probably causing more pain to her. Ruoto turned her head to see her rider. The kukuri's slit pupils shrunk and she pulled up her lip, showing her pearly white teeth. It was definitely a grin. As time felt like slowing down, Maxuss would have just wanted to stab the kukuri straight to the eyes.
"Don't you dare", he whispered in panic. Ruoto turned her head back to face forward.
"DON'T YOU DARE", Maxuss shouted at the top of his lungs, creating a horrifying, electronic sound.

As dark clouds started to weep, she leaned forward.

Omg Ruoto is a nightmare to ride Xvx all that blood in the corner of her mouth though, I'm surprised she can still grin and not get angry enough at the rider to want to rip at him Orz
Maxuss is in for some fun times ackkkkkk I hope he's not afraid of heights :'D
